Art plays an important role in the learning and development of young children. Works of art, whether created by known artists or by the children themselves, expand and make concrete the child`s knowledge of the world.

Our ART APPRECIATION PROGRAM, enables teachers to introduce quality art reproductions as well as original art (through museum visits) to our 3 and 4 year old children.

The childrens` experiences will be age appropriate, meaningful and enriching. Art by selected masters will be incorporated into the classroom. We will focus on awareness, exploration, inquiry and the practical appreciation of skills and ideas. Art vocabulary words such as "lines", "shape", "colour", and "texture" will be introduced by reference to real art.
